Consequences
The word mishpat (משפט) is a declaration made by a shophaet (judge) that provides clarification and instruction. However, when used allegorically, mishpatim represent declarations rationally deduced from God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H) and God’s guidance being presented in experience (Elohim) that can provide clarification and instruction about the course and direction of one’s life. The consequences (עקב) of being attentive to God’s mishpatim – observing them and doing them - is that God remains obliged (נשבע) to each of us to provide what can be clearly understood in experience (ברית) and what can be considered of experience(חסד)as a result of our taking notice of things (fathers). Consequently, God will then bless the scatterings of your bursting forth into experience (בטנך), and the scatterings of your being mentally absorbed with experience (אדמתך); your becoming acquainted with something (דגנך), and your driving into it(תירשך), and your narrowing in so as to make it perfectly clear (יצהרך); what is drawn in of your acts of familiarizing (שגר אלפיך) and the dissemination and proliferation of your consideration (עשתרת צאנך) - upon one’s being mentally absorbed with experience (האדמה). Additionally, HaShem will remove any weakness (חלי) and any loss of strength (מדוי) associated with an act of feverishly focusing upon the many things narrowing in of experience (מצרים), that are weakening - that you acknowledge. In doing so, you will embrace (eat) all of the being mindful of the many things crowding in from experience (peoples) that God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H) and God’s guidance being presented in experience (Elohim) is giving to you. Nevertheless, you mustn’t hesitate by allowing your eye to overly consider them (תחוס עינך) or by overly devoting attention to their guidance (אלהיהם) because that will be a snare to you.
Perhaps you are intimidated by the sheer numbers of potential things with which to engage found in experience – for many are the ways of drawing inward into things (nations) in experience that are advancing forward (רבים הגוים האלה)? Perhaps you believe that it is too much and you could not possibly be able to drive into them and take possession of them (להורישם)? You must assuredly remain clear minded of what God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H) and God’s guidance being presented to you in experience (Elohim)does for a person who chaotically attempts to attend to too many things (Pharaoh)and for a person feverishly focusing upon the many things narrowing in (Mitsraim) – the great trials, and the many signs pointing the way, and the many persuasive things, and the strong reach, and the outstretched arm. Little by little, God will draw off the many ways of drawing into experience (nations), for if you were to try to embrace them (כלתם) quickly the wildness of going back and forth in experience (חית השדה) would increase upon you. Instead, God will put the acts of deliberating over them (their kings) into your hand. The distortions associated with their guidance(פסילי אלהיהם) you shall repeatedly oversee and extract (שרף) by being mentally persistent (fire). Regarding them, you mustn’t desire (חמד) many lasting impressions (silver) nor many fleeting impressions (gold) – because they are a distortion (תועבת) of God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H) and God’s guidance being presented to you in experience (Elohim).
All of the demands (מצוה) that Moshe (the mental faculty drawing out particular things from a midst the many stirring things encountered in experience) demands of you, you must repeatedly observe to do so that you shall be lively - and then you (pl.) will increase, and come in, and take possession of the way of disposing oneself to experience (land) that God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H) is obliged (to give) for your acts of taking notice of things (fathers). Furthermore, you must be clear minded (זכר) of all of the threshing (of life experience) that God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H), God’s guidance being presented to you in experience (Elohim), leads you upon. Because the person who is mentally absorbed with experience (אדם) does not live upon what can be closely gotten into of experience (לחם bread) alone, but rather upon all that comes out of the mouth of God’s bringing forth of experience (Y-H-W-H). Thus, you will acknowledge that as a person’s being mentally persistent (איש man) shall redirect his behavior (son) – likewise shall God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H), God’s guidance being presented to you in experience (Elohim) redirect you. For God shall bring you into a way of disposing of oneself (land) of torrential waters – things stirred up in experience (waters) that swirl and swarm about (נחל). A way of disposing oneself to experience where the things prominently sticking out (stones) are penetrating (iron) and from its many acts of bringing things to light (mountains), you shall extract what can be coaxed out to be experienced (bronze). However, you must be on guard for your sake and mustn’t forget God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H), God’s guidance being presented to you in experience (Elohim) for if you follow after other forms of guidance (אלהים אחרים) and devote yourself to them (עבדתם) and lay yourself out to them, you shall become assuredly lost in accord with the many potential things drawing in from experience (nations).
Allegorical translation of the second paragraph of the Shema:
And it will be if you shall assuredly remain attentive to my demands that I am demanding of you of what is stirring in experience (today), to lovingly give forth of yourself to God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H), God’s guidance being presented to you in experience (Elohim), and to devote attention to Him with all of your willing-heart (לבב) and with all of your spirit (נפש). Then I will give the targeting motivators (rain) of your disposing yourself to experience (land) in its time – what aims a person (יורה) and what slows a person down (מלקוש). Such that you will gather in your becoming acquainted with something (דגנך), and your driving into it(תירשך), and your narrowing in so as to make it perfectly clear (יצהרך). And I will give what to settle into in your going back and forth in experience (grass in your field) for your pushing in to make observations (herd animals) and you will embrace (eat) and be satisfied. Guard yourselves lest you shall open to persuasion (יפתה) your willing-hearts such that you will turn and devote attention to other forms of guidance (אלהים אחרים) and lay yourselves out to them. Then the most poignant aspect (אף) of God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H) will be incited against you and It will restrict (עצר) the many things readily available in experience (שמים heavens) and there shall not be targeting motivators (rain) and the act of being mentally absorbed with experience (אדמה ground) shall not give forth its yield. Then you will quickly become lost from upon the good way of disposing of oneself (land) that God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H) gives to you. Therefore, you must place the things driving directly forward by me (my words) those advancing forward in experience (these) upon your willing-hearts and upon your spirits. And you will firmly bind them to be regarded as a sign indicating the way (אות) upon your pointing the way (ידכם). And they will be regarded as things flitting and flickering (catching one’s attention)(טוטפת) between your acts of eyeing experience (עיניכם). And you will enjoin and habitualize them (to) your behaviors (children) so as to drive directly into them (לדבר בם) through your settling into (בשבתך) what comes into you from experience (בביתך), and through your advancing (ובלכתך) by threshing through experience (בדרך), and through your hedging in (ובשכבך), and through your remaining firm (ובקומך). And you will impress (write) them above the fears (מזז) of what comes into you (ביתך) and your taking notice of (other) things in being stirred up by them (ובשעריך). In order that the many things stirring you in experience (days) and the many things stirring your behaviors (days of your children) shall increase upon the act of being mentally absorbed with experience (אדמה ground) that God’s bringing forth of existence (Y-H-W-H) is obliged for your acts of taking notice of things (fathers) to give to them – in accordance with the many things stirring in experience as a result of what is put forth and readily available in experience (days of the heavens), upon the act of disposing oneself to experience (land).
Notes: My apologies. Usually, I have about 100 footnotes explaining each translation. But this week for a variety of reasons, I was unable to. If you have any questions about specific words, please IM me.
